Our Grandpa Painter left this world last night.  This is a note that Grandma wrote that I wanted to share,
"Dear Ones... My Sweetheart left his worn-out earthly body last night for the arms of his Heavenly Father.  It has been quite a journey getting there. His family had been called, and were here until just before  and the last and had just left and  he didn't want to hurt their feelings and so five minutes later he took his grand exit.  Lynne, Tim, Les, Nida, Steve, Monica, Sherry, John, Jamie, Kylie, had all been here, and Lorraine, Dave, Mat, Jenny, Becky, Audrey, Yennie,  were with me at the last breath.  It was a sweet experience, that I could kiss him and tell him how much I loved him .  The Hospice nurse had been here.  She cried, and said she was not supposed to do that but she had grown so fond of him and knew he wouldn't last the night. So we were prepared.  The bishop came and said a prayer for the family...especially me.  John and Steve gave him a blessing.  Love, Mom "
We love you Grandpa Painter!

We've had  fantastic snow days here for the past week!  Just pouring and pouring down beautiful flakes of white fluffy snow!  The kids are loving every bit of it!  They have gone sledding nearly every day, built snow caves and have eaten their weight in filthy snow!
I declared last Wednesday an official Snow Day!  Although school was up and running, we stayed home and played!  I know, I'm a big fat sucker but we had a great time!
On Thursday, I drove Nathan's truck into our friends orchard!  I AM was so very mad!  Mad to the cost of $1800 dollars!  At least we were safe physically but the poor children must have suffered a bit emotionally from what they told their dad, "Daaadd!!! Mom taught us some more colorful words when she ran into that treeeee!"

What a sweet message from your grandma. What a blessing that family was able to say good bye to your grandpa.

I am sorry about the pickup. I am sure sweet Elizabeth Hymas would never let any swear words slip from her lips! It can't be true.
